I moved to Dexter in 1983 and went to work for Trammell & Son Insurance & Real Estate in January 1984. When my young family moved to Dexter, homeownership seem out of the question. We had never owned a home, had always rented, and interest rates were at an all time high. While trying to find a home to rent, I called a local real estate broker and that broker truly changed my life. Through her knowledge and experience she made our dream of homeownership a reality.
Life went on, I was a busy wife and mother and I enjoyed working my 8 to 5 job, but in 1999 my daughter graduated from Dexter High School, left for college, and I found myself with a lot more time on my hands. In 2000, I obtained my Property & Casualty and Life & Health Insurance License. In June of that year, I obtained my Real Estate Salesperson License and immediately followed up and obtained my Real Estate Broker License in October.
Thinking back to that Real Estate Broker that made such a difference in my life, I was determined to be that kind of agent, not an agent focused and distracted by multi-million dollar listing and selling statistics; but an agent that cared, one that can make a difference to each family I work with, and ultimately the community.
I love the Real Estate Industry, the buyers, the sellers, the lives of real people, the transaction, the details, the paperwork, the investigative work. It's what makes me thrive!
